Designing neon
Local Neon creates gear that supports local artists in mountain towns, both by showcasing their artwork on products and donating to a local charity of the artist's choice.
We collaborated with Local Neon to develop a minimum viable brand, in parallel to their operations starting up from scratch. The concept works with elemental neon (Ne), while also staying mostly out of the way so the local artist's work is the focus, particularly on products.
The logo is based on the scientific experiments from 1913 done by J.J. Thompson. Local Neon also has a brand number. It's 10, the atomic number of neon.
Minimum Viable Website
Local Neon needed a simple website to help get artists onboard, they needed it fast, and they needed it on a shoestring budget.
The resulting minimum viable website isn't our most exciting work, but what's notable is the speed in which we were able to design & build it, with zero developer time, and still achieve our client's goals.
The "real" version of the Local Neon website is currently in the early stages of UX & UI. For now, here's the coming soon page: thelocalneon.com
